Produced with the Human Resources Association of New York (HRA), New York Rising Community Reconstruction Program is a project developed to help provide planning and technical assistance to communities that are proactive in planning and rebuilding following the disastrous hurricane Sandy storm, hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. The program has allocated 25 million dollars to use in this endeavor and Lovett Stories and Strategies put together this video for a NY State Conference where Governor Cuoma announced the project’s creation.
Lovett Stories and Strategies will soon launch an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for Children of the Inquisition-a transmedia project-to expand internationally. The film portion follows descendants of the Spanish and Portuguese Inquisitions as they unravel their complex—often hidden—Jewish identity, and will be accompanied by an interactive website and educational game. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and visit www.childrenoftheinquisiton.com for more cuts from what we have filmed already.
We are pleased that Mayor Bloomberg again called on us for video support to make an important announcement to New Yorkers. On Tuesday, June 11, 2013 Bloomberg proposed a network of floodwalls, levees and bulkheads along the city’s coast, (see full article in the NY Times.) The mayor’s office commissioned Lovett to create a video for his speech at the Brooklyn Navy Yard explaining how NYC was preemptively more prepared for Hurricane Sandy, due to the initiatives of Bloomberg’s on-going PlaNYC campaign, to meet the challenges of the growing city’s needs by 2030. Lovett Stories and Strategies was chosen to chronicle PlaNYC as it went from concept to reality. We would like to thank the Office of the Mayor for choosing us for such an important project and a special thanks to veteran Lovett producer Sean Kaminsky.
