The Way Home tells three true stories of forgiveness and reconciliation. Photographer Ken Karlewicz and his son have been estranged for years and finally begin to bridge the gap between them. Cheryl Ward Kaiser of Salinas, California, comes to the table with a man who was involved in the murder of her husband and now plays an active role in a victim/offender reconciliation program. In Postville, Iowa, the arrival of a group of Hasidic Jews in the mid 90s challenged the town’s accepted way of life. But after years of struggle, the town has grown to accept not only the Hasids but also the people from many countreis and diverse backgrounds, and flourished in the process.
