Directed by Joseph Lovett, Gay Sex in the 70′s is a steamy look at a period when gay men experienced an unprecedented freedom from 1969 and the Stonewall Riots until the advent of the AIDS crisis in 1981. The film includes interviews with activist Larry Kramer, photographer Tom Bianchi, and music producer Mel Charin, among others. Described by Variety as “a vivid portrait of a lost libertine paradise,” Gay Sex in the 70′s premiered at Tribeca Film Festival and was released theatrically in over 25 cities nationwide breaking box office records.
